Vym "2.6.0 - 2016-09-14" won't add *.jpg files

Self-correction! Duh! I'd accidentally unticked "show icons" in the Freeplane preferences. OK, everything is now working properly again! EXCEPT I still get that error message precisely twice on startup, then precisely twice every time I say change folders when in a File selector dialogue box to open/save files. It is very annoying but doesn't otherwise affect anything. Any ideas? Could Windows have a stale registry entry somewhere that it causing it to look on a dead path first (two times) or something?...

Hello Thought I'd post a message here as I am at my wits end having tried everything to get Freeplane working properly again, as I find it a brilliant tool. I am running Windows 10 Pro 64bit. Fully up to date. Freeplane mysteriously stopped working properly recently. I now get an error dialog box complaining that "javaw.exe Windows can't find the target." This dialog box appears a total of twice before Freeplane loads. Once loaded, it mostly works, except that icons no longer are visible when inserted...
