Help in recovering hidden volume in veracrypt

I had a file encrypted into veracrypt volume using veracrypt, but then I had to reset the pc and thus in the process the veracrypt got removed. Now when I re installed the veracrypt the outer volume is working fine, but it is not mounting the hidden volume correctly. When I open that volume it's asking me to format the volume, which I cant do the data is precious. I said Yes to store the files more than 4GB which changed the formatting from ntfs to exFAT
