that is pretty cool! If you modify the files KeePass will attempt to attach the new version and move the old version to History everything you say it's 1000 times better than Veracrypt and so on, perhaps for some peculiar uses. I guess Keepass has potential to store safely documents, with some enhancements or plugins. Last question, you're still not convinced, what about photos? If the database is gzipped the photos will be compressed or stored as originals? Disclaimer: i've been using Keepass for...
Thanks for your reply but i guess we are not on the point. As far as i know also Veracrypt adds iterative funtions too as Keepass do and you should set an amount of space to the encrypted volume and at last mounting and unmounting the volume is something that take time and more steps to do in your routine. VM is not a solution as root or admin password could be easily changed by a guest and it should be at least 10GB each, with RAM and so on. (WIN or Linux is the same) I'd like to know limitation...

thanks for your reply, i know those solutions as Veracrypt or Axcrypt but we are talking about different things: encrypt entire disk VS save and encrypt some files. I use different password DBs for every different part of my work, and i'd like to create a DB (all doc files could reach 300mb) to store and encrypt some files. I use Keepass since last 10 years and i remember attachment had more limitations in the past. I know it's not supposed to encrypt partitions, iso and so on but if there's not...
Hi, Just asking about attachments stored on Keepass and very curious about the use of it, in other words using Keepass not to store keys (stored on its own Keepass file) but documents and photos. I just read about hypothetical limit of 4GB on your KDBX file (what does it mean? the file will be unable to open or will be any advice about reaching the limit?) and nothing else so that's what i had in mind. What about creating multiple databases KDBX to be used just for attachments as a sort of encrypted...
Customer with 6/7 employees using keepass in the office they have to rotate passwords every while for GDPR and they say they have no alerts, or they don't see, or they just check mails. Activating the function with keepass running and unlocked is not a problem, i know this is not a service on web... we have mail server, even remote mail server on the office but we can't develop that part... so i was asking if there's something like triggers to activate but i can't see something about password about...
Is there a way to set up mail alerts about passwords about to expire? setting up smtp and alert... i'm using pedcalc too and i didn't find anything about but i guess it would be a nice addon
