greetings... i hope this finds you doing well. i looked at your last 2023 legacy os from a usb stick yesterday. i enjoyed it and had the thought of upgrading it to debian 12, then, 13. i read you are working on it and should have it sometime 2026. i was wondering: is it possible? feaseable? to go from deb-11 to deb-12 to deb-13 on legacy os? if so and is, if/when your new release is out, would it bepossible to update then to your new iso? it's a "hobby" as i have 2-hd's with total of 6-different...
greetings...voidlinux is 1 of 6 distros i use on a 18+yr old computer. yesterday, i decided to look at pepvoid on a live usb. it ran fine. so, today i decided to install it on computer in a spare partition. right after the install, i dropped to a tty and did an update. about 2gb of files to download taking over 6gb additional space, for an over 6 month old, rolling release iso i was hopefully optimistic. rebooted and all worked fine, no problems, so far. i see you added octoxbps, nice. but, for those...
thank you for the clarifications - much appreciated.
greetings...a couple of pepmini (think pertains to regular installs too) install questions and a suggestion. reinstalled (gui) pepmini-dev(uan) edition fine. however, the questions: (1) in selecting desktop, there are choices for "Debian desktop environment" at top and "standard desktop utilities" at bottom with desktop environment choices (i chose Lxde) between them. does the top choice install services (eg, cups, lp, etc.)? and the bottom choice install std utilites commonly used in linux? i'm...

greetings..saw this last night. hope it's resolved for you. if not, this is how i've installed my brother hl-2140 printer in linux distros tried (void, deb, rpm, arch) that had no option in menus. i used, referenced distrotubes video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnmCbEWNV1w ). his process has worked in all i have tried and is easier for me than using cups web. basically, make sure of user groups (lp, lpadmin) which you've done. install cups (which you've done). enable cups service if not done...
greetings sleekmason... thank you for your informative reply and suggestions. apology for posting the question in the wrong area. future questions will be in the Lilidog forum. with much appreciation. ..ric..
greetings sleekmason... i see that you are affiliated with pmos (peppermintos) too. pmos-devuan is one of the distros (4) that i use. my computer is rather old (> 17yrs), it seems to run better with non-systemd init systems. the suggestion: a devuan version of lilidog. maybe, a distinguishing name of: ???cat :=) i briefly looked at a live-usb of your current version (bookworm - 23.12.21) and all your tweaks and customizations are quite nice. the question; the live-usb has a conky with taoist quotes...
