I have found a guide which may help : https://computingforgeeks.com/how-to-configure-samba-share-on-debian/
Hi, I have a similar problem and tried the instructions above. The smbpasswd step seemed to be successful. But results are: ls -l /var/lib/samba/private/ ls: cannot open directory '/var/lib/samba/private/': Permission denied and sudo systemctl restart smbd Failed to restart smbd.service: Unit smbd.service not found. Permissions for ownership of secrets.tdb for both Owner and Group are the same 10 digit number. Access control is forbidden and any changes revert back to that. Any suggestions pleas...
Amazing! That works. Thanks a lot.
I am trying to add an Epson printer WF-2520, using localhost:631. It appeared to install but then said: File "/opt/epson-inkjet-printer-escpr/cups/lib/filter/epson-escpr-wrapper" not available: No such file or directory So I downloaded: cups-2.4.14-source.tar.gz , thinking maybe that would help. I cannot see how to install this, having tried Synaptic Package Manager and Gdebi Package Installer. This is all new to me so I'm probably missing something obvious. Thanks
I had the same issue as Corey Hull, it failed twice. I tried without the USB stick. To my surprise it worked but needed a lot of updates. It looked like the dpkg file? had been interrupted by the time-out.
