Hi Jerome, Thanks for the clarification. This may explain why MediaInfo 9.04 reported a Bit Depth of 16 bits when I had configured my encoder for 24 bits. I'll have to explore other ways to determine what the encoder has actually done. FYI the encoder is the Dolby Digital AC-3 5.1 Surround rendering template in Vegas Pro 17: 448 Kbps, 48,000 Hz, 24 Bit, 5.1, AC3, AGC Off.
