    Sounded promising - but I can't get it working. Since it is something like a private user initiative and some years old that may be due to all sorts of incompatibilities to current hard/software. I think I'll try another approach and just buy a simple notebook and start the whole install from scratch.

    I'm aiming for a dual boot setting with the help from grub. The regular starting OS is Win11-64 (EFI-system). grub is installed and starts that partition as default by chainload. I'd like to have a Windows7 32-bit installation as option in grub. It is (as far as I understand the matter) not possible to install a 32-bit Windows (like Win7) on a 64-bit UEFI-system (as given with Win11 preinstalled).
