Okay awesome - game works now!

okay i found the fix that corrects all the textures now - i use dgvoodoo but i put the files in my appdata/local/temp folder, which is certainly quite strange, but if thats what the game wants, okay then

Okay continuing the Nascar theme - i thought i would look at Nascar 2000 now and saw that there is aprofile in Dxwnd for it. I tried it but unfortunately the game is just a black screen, no sound and no way i can move the window around either - if something could be done that makes moving the window around possible then maybe it behaves the same as Nascar Revolution SE

Okay thanks to BEEN referring me to the shared hook functions, i can get Nascar Heat to be recognised in Dxwnd, but now at this stage - what fix in Dxwnd could rectify this look? see attached. The wireframe area is just all around whereever the car moves to. I installed Nascar Heat core which is a free full install online https://heatfinder.net/downloads?c=3 but also i have the cdrom and of course its on my abandonware, so one can get all the tracks from that to use in the heatcore version. where is Detours son process? - in the hook section there is the Son menu yes, but in it the options are : Default Suppress Ext. Debug Ext. Inject Ext detours which one are you meaning @BEEN_Nath_58?

Well I asked because I wasn't sure if by saying "hook an exe" that that means something else in the dxwnd settings. I always just drag and drop in game exes, I just wasn't aware that is "hooking an exe" - the term hook in this environment has always thrown me a little as there is a whole hook tab with a bunch of settings but also I have rarely ever found the need to use any hook related settings I did look in the hook tab and didn't see the detour stuff so I will look again On Mon, Apr 20, 2026,...
