I actually just discovered the PAE version a few months ago. This is all from memory, so I could EASILY be wrong. It is a version that is optimized to take advantage of the newer memory controller chips, allowing for larger buffering and increased performance. All I know is that it TRULY runs significantly faster on my older i5 computer. I'm backing up from multiple computers, so this has been observed in my notebook, desktop, and two Windows servers (one local backup and the other to the other server's...

First, WTH are you talking about? I just downloaded a copy of both the PAE and AMD ISOs. Please realize that there is a drop down box that automatically selects the detected best version for you. You can easily click on the drop box and override the automatically detected version. Now, to answer your question: I actually just discovered the PAE version a few months ago. The first thing I would do is run the app in "administrator" mode. If you're not sure how to do that, just hmu. Microcrap has been making Windows more "bulletproof" or "hardened". As such, things that it used to just let happen (like writing temp files to your hard drive, accessing memory, etc.) are now under martial law. Running an app as an administrator gives the app credentials that allows it access to those areas. I have to run Make MKV as administrator, so it can access the DVD drives. When...
