PEP is a continuous path and edge profiling
implementation that uses a low-overhead combination of
instrumentation and sampling. PEP is described and
evaluated in "Continuous Path and Edge Profiling,"
MICRO 2005. Included in the archive: (1) patch against
Jikes RVM 2.4.5, (2) README with installation and usage
info, and (3) Java code to compute the accuracy of path
and edge profiles. Questions, problems, and feedback
are welcome.

Porting of PEP to newer Jikes RVM releases - patches for 3.1.2 and Mercurial (13/01/2013) versions. Includes also patches that allow to use DaCapo benchmarks with replay compilation.
