Some type of encryption would be great, the more
secure the better, and how is the passwd
encrypted/authed anyway? Maybe you can toss
that on the site just for info.
Encryption would be a real win. I see the explanation about
password encryption has been added to the website. Thank you.
If the client could encrypt traffic to and from the server
similar to SSL like RADMIN or other tools do that would be
helpful, allowing for work on sensitive data without having
to install seperate libraries and tools to do the encryption.
Sorry I should clarify. I'm looking at a Windows application
across the Internet, windows server, windows client etc.
Thanks for your hard work.
Greg.

ssh works fine... for an admin. I wanted to use VNC to give
a regular user access to his computer from outside, but it
is totally unsuitable, as password and all data are passed
in the clear, and it would have been fairly difficult to
walk him through setting up an ssh tunnel.
realVNC has this, in the commercial version. I am really
surprised that not only ssl but real authentication have not
been added to tightvnc (which is otherwise my favorite vnc
flavor).

It would be very nice, but you can still use a simple SSH
tunnel to do this.
