Junkbuster should support transparent
operation by itself, eliminating the
need to go through transproxy if automatic
interception of outgoing port 80 traffic
is desired.
I do not believe this is possible. When the browser sends
it's request it goes directly to the OS. Iptables can
change the destination port and server, however. This would
allow packets going out to port 80 to be redirected to the
proxy.

See Patch 604522 which I made waaay back when. This patch
should still apply, however, I've not compiled Privoxy for
yonks.
I *will* pick this back up in due course if nobody else
does, it may take a wee while, but I hate seeing useful
code dying (I did think this one was dead tho ;)
So - left open and assigned to me, with a reference to the
newly re-opened patch I did way back when.

This FR is only concerned with the
handling of the redirected requests
on the application level. Redirecting
itself is up to the underlying OS.

Doesn't look like this one got the attention it deserved -
closing, unless someone wants to pick it up again.

Well, I for one think its a good idea, and one that probably
has been asked for a number of times.
