Privoxy 3.0.17
If I try to browse to a non-existent domain (for example, not.a.domain, or a spelling mistake), the HTML title of the resulting CGI page is "502 - Bad Gateway," even though the text on the CGI page itself says "No such domain." Are these 2 pieces of text supposed to be the same error message?
Xubuntu 11.04, no other firewalls/proxies, Firefox 7.0.1
Thanks for the report, but unfortunately there's little we can do about this.
Our Privoxy 3.0.17 release uses the following template:
http://ijbswa.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/ijbswa/current/templates/no-such-domain?view=markup
Unfortunately the Debian package embraces and extends the template:
http://patch-tracker.debian.org/patch/series/view/privoxy/3.0.17-1/17_502_no_such_domain.dpatch
and I assume Xubuntu is using the Debian patches without double
checking whether or not they make sense.
I suggest you file an Xubuntu or Debian bug.
