#491 automake-1.8 and aclocal-1.8 script broken

closed-invalid
MSYS (75)

No

The automake-1.8 and aclocal-1.8 script in the current
msys-automake-1.8.2 have size 0. This will cause
problems if autogen scripts check for 1.8 explicitly.
Simply copying automake and aclocal to the -1.8
versions seems to fix it, but I'm not sure this is the
correct solution.

Is this a packaging error, or did something go wrong
during unpacking the tar.gz? I'm using PowerArchiver
and never had problems with previous versions of the
packages.

It's a problem with PowerArchiver then. Unpacking with tar
    -xj works fine.
