Calling ln will result in an seg fault exception. See this output and the attached stacktrace:

$ ln
0 [main] ln 3560 open_stackdumpfile: Dumping stack trace to ln.exe.stackdump
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

If there is more information needed, don't hesitate to ask for feedback.

    Sorry for the first, I forgot to inform about the versions:

    Used mingw-get-inst-20100909.exe and the feature to update the catalog. I don't think it is neccesary to publish the gcc version here but anyway:

    $ gcc --version
    gcc.exe (GCC) 4.5.0
    Copyright (C) 2010 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
    This is free software; see the source for copying conditions. There is NO
    warranty; not even for MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

    The version of ln I can't get because it casues the seg fault also in case of "--version" argument.

    There is the version msys 1.0.16-1 installed because file

    msysCORE-1.0.16-1-msys-RELEASE_NOTES.txt

    exists in /usr/share/doc/MSYS.

    Please ask if you need more information.

    I do not see an issue with "1.0.18(0.48/3/2) 2012-11-21 22:34"
