"Parts very good parts very bad" Posted 2021-04-09
Pros: Context: we are a contract wine making facility with many different clients and product types.
Reporting is excellent and easy.
Winery module is fairly good and easy to use.
Laboratory module is fairly good.Cons: The sparkling wine option is actually very bad. eg. One can't part disgorge a batch of sparkling wine without splitting the tirage lot....but it's from the same tirage tank.....so Vintrace is introducing falsities in to the traceability. It seems it has been designed by a warehouse supervisor. The wine on lees in bottle ie waiting to be disgorged has the same status as a cardboard box....last time I checked we couldn't add sugar and SO2 to a cardboard box!
The ambition of detail far outstrips the abilities of the sparkling module....borderline for the still wine part.
Some inconsistencies throughout ie batch/code/lot/stock.....what is what? I think it comes back to the fact that the families of items are not clearly defined.
Some really illogical stuff also.Overall: I feel like the sparkling module has been cut and pasted from a packaging software system.

Good for still wine.....go elsewhere for sparkling wine.
