About talat
talat is a native meeting transcription and note-taking app for macOS and Windows. It captures microphone and system audio, transcribes speech in real time, identifies speakers, and creates searchable transcripts, summaries, action points, and chapters. Users can edit transcripts, search past meetings, import audio or video recordings, and dictate text into other apps. Calendar connections can prepare scheduled meetings, while automatic detection can start recording for supported conferencing apps. Meetings and transcripts are processed and stored locally by default; users can optionally connect cloud language models, sync, webhooks, or MCP-compatible assistants, which may send selected data off-device. talat also exports notes to Markdown and PDF.
