"This is a really good product"

    5 out of 5 stars Posted 2022-10-08

Pros: These are the pros I think this tool has. And I bet there are some more, but I will choose the most important ones:

    - color palette
    - font palette
    - ruler
    - design

    Cons: No auto-layout.
    No dark-mode/light-mode switch.
    Small community.

Overall: I would 100% recommend this product to every beginner UX designer who is looking for a free and useful tool for their products. I think it will be one of the top tools for UX designers.

Hi! Thanks for your review, Ana K. The great news after Penpot oficially launched in February 2023 is that we created Flex Layout that's just CSS Flexbox. Our first take on flexible and adaptable layouts brings the standard CSS Flex power to designers. You now get both productivity boost and an unprecedented integration between design and code. Flex layout means better parity with code than other design platform and better range of options inside the design tool itself. It is also great for designing truly responsive designs. Nowadays, Penpot is not just for beginners but also for advance professional UI designers and developers that find in our powerful intuitive tool the best solution to collaborate for real and satisfy their needs. Enjoy Penpot!
