Rocket Broadcaster
Rocket Broadcaster is a Windows audio encoder for broadcasting to Internet radio stations through Icecast, Icecast-KH, SHOUTcast 1 and 2, RSAS, and compatible streaming services. It captures microphone or line-in audio and sound from other applications, including automation software, media players, and interview tools, then mixes those sources for a seamless live program. One audio input can be sent to multiple servers or encoded in different profiles for mobile, high-quality, or network-specific streams. Supported formats include MP3, AAC, AAC+, HE-AAC v1, Ogg Vorbis, Ogg Opus, and lossless Ogg FLAC, with presets for common configurations and customizable encoder settings. The built-in Broadcast Audio Processor shapes a station’s sound with multiband compression, automatic gain control, limiting, and ITU BS.1770 loudness metering while keeping CPU use and latency low.

Radiologik
Radiologik is radio automation software for Macs, designed to work equally well for live DJing and fully automated 24/7 broadcasting. It uses the macOS Music app, or iTunes on earlier systems, as its database and turns playlists and smart playlists into the building blocks for sophisticated programming. Radiologik DJ can operate as a standalone live-event player or as the playout engine for Radiologik Scheduler. Its program queue uses two primary players and a third for tight fits and voiceovers, with three changeable on-air outputs, a separate preview output, and a 20-player palette for jingles and sound effects. Broadcasters can search large libraries for requests, exact-duration songs, or tracks with long ramps, while track settings control starts, stops, overlaps, fades, ramps, and transitions. Supported formats include MP3, AAC, Apple Lossless, AIFF, FLAC, MP2, and WAV, with ReplayGain 2.0 and Music Sound Check support for consistent levels.
