At CryptoSlam we are collectors ourselves, and this means we’re always pushing the boundaries in the area where we feel collectors care the most. We grew up in the “junk wax” era of sports cards and were some of the millions of kids who couldn’t wait for the latest Beckett price guide to be available, so we see how much our cards went up or down in value. The value associated with the crypto-collectibles we track is something near and dear to our hearts, and we feel the same goes for all collectors looking to value their NFTs. Not all NFTs are created the same, even if their images might look the same. There are plenty of attributes that collectors and speculators value, such as serial number, mint number, attribute rarities, and many others.

rarity.tools aims to provide an easy to understand and sensible ranking of the rarity of individual collectible NFTs and can be used to easily answer the question of how rare any NFT is within their collection. With this info NFT collectors can more easily value and compare relative value of individual NFTs against each other. The big picture is, each trait of an individual NFT is given a Rarity Score and then the Rarity Score for all traits of that NFT are added up to become the NFTs overall Rarity Score. The CryptoPunks community for example gives a lot of importance to the ‘attribute count’ of each CryptoPunk, which is why the only CryptoPunk with 7 attributes is ranked as the rarest one. On the other hand other communities don’t really care about attribute count. The Waifusion community gives importance to clothing and style matches.
