About dcmage
dcmage is a free DICOM workbench for editing metadata, de-identifying studies and inspecting volumes. It runs as a native Mac app and in the browser, and it processes studies on your own machine.
Tag editor: search any DICOM tag by number, keyword or value, including nested sequences and private tags. Inline checks flag invalid value representations. Edits are exported to a new file and the original is not changed.
De-identification: apply DICOM PS3.15 profiles, including HIPAA Safe Harbor and custom rules, with consistent UID remapping across studies. On-device OCR proposes boxes around text burned into the pixels for you to review and black out.
Viewer: axial, sagittal and coronal MPR with synchronized crosshairs, window/level, zoom and measurements.
Audit trail: every edit, anonymization and export is recorded in a SHA-256 hash-chained log you can export.
