Synology Virtual Machine Manager
Virtual Machine Manager opens up abundant possibilities. You can set up and run various virtual machines, including Windows, Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS, Fedora, Debian, Oracle) or Virtual DSM all on one Synology NAS. You can also test a new software version in a sandbox environment, isolate your customers' machines or increase the flexibility of your server. Synology VMM lets you build a cost-effective and easily managed virtualization environment by combining computing, storage and networking resources on a single hardware platform. VMM provides an equally intuitive experience as DiskStation Manager, offering a reliable storage solution with robust features. You can run multiple virtual machines on your Synology NAS with operating systems including Windows, Linux and Virtual DSM.

boat
boat provides powerful cloud virtual machines and persistent sandboxes built for long-running AI agents, allowing users to spawn thousands of cloud computers with browsers and persistent files without managing the entire infrastructure themselves. Each sandbox is a full Ubuntu Linux virtual machine with SSH and SCP access, Docker support, dedicated IPv4 or IPv6 addresses, a 60 fps virtual desktop, and fast disk-level forking from snapshots. Docker, VS Code, Chrome, Ghostty, GitHub CLI, Rust, Node.js, and Bun come pre-installed, enabling users to run any development tool, language, or workflow. Boat supports agents such as Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode, with tools to prompt, observe, and control agent environments remotely through its CLI, HTTP API, and Python or TypeScript SDKs. Users can execute commands, copy files, monitor agent messages and tool calls, host applications through public HTTPS URLs, and access integrated desktops and browsers.

CreateOS Sandbox
CreateOS Sandbox is a hosted compute service for developers building AI agents, code-execution platforms, and developer tools. It creates isolated Firecracker micro-virtual machines, each with its own Linux kernel, where teams can run untrusted or model-generated code. Developers can provision environments through a TypeScript SDK, command-line interface, MCP tools, or REST API, execute commands, and connect sandboxes through private networks. Sandboxes can be paused and resumed with guest state preserved, configured from reusable templates, and connected to customer-owned Amazon S3, MinIO, or Cloudflare R2 storage. Usage is metered per second for compute, memory, and disk; paused environments continue to incur memory and storage charges. The service offers EU and US regions, plus an enterprise option to run on customer infrastructure.

InstaVM
InstaVM is a production sandbox and cloud built for AI agents, giving agents instant computers with runtime, storage, networking, secrets, and policy. It goes beyond basic sandboxes by running untrusted code inside hardware-isolated real VMs rather than containers, helping teams give AI agents secure execution environments with full Linux filesystems, networking, package management, RESTful API access, and persistent state. InstaVM supports snapshots, allowing users to fork any sandbox and rewind any run, while persistent volumes keep state beyond each execution. Egress control lets teams allowlist what calls home, secrets injection and Vault help protect sensitive credentials from prompt injections, and public URL deploys can expose any port to the public web. It is built for agent patterns such as code interpreters, deploy agents, deep research agents, AI evaluations, reinforcement learning, computer use, and vibe coding apps.
