Pros: I've been using ZennoDroid for over two years and it covers exactly what a browser automation tool can't: working inside real Android apps. It runs on the MEmu emulator, so you get actual Android instances on your PC and the automation happens inside the apps themselves.

The recorder makes the start easy. You perform the actions once, it records them, and then you turn that into a template and add the logic on top. Filling forms, tapping buttons, moving between screens and pulling data out of apps all work without writing code.

Device emulation is the feature I value the most. You can set the device model, IMEI and the other parameters, so each instance behaves like its own device instead of a hundred clones of the same thing. It also handles text, tables, images and databases inside the template, so feeding data in and getting results out is straightforward.

If you already use ZennoPoster the logic feels familiar from day one, same way of thinking about actions and variables, which saved me a lot of time when I started.

Cons: It runs on emulators, so it's worth having decent hardware if you want to run several instances at the same time.

Overall: Two years using it and ZennoDroid still does something very few tools do properly, which is reliable automation inside Android apps with full control over the device parameters. Once a template is built and tested it keeps running the same way.

For the price it's honestly one of the best deals in this category. It's not a beginner toy, you build the logic yourself, but the recorder and the visual approach make that far less painful than scripting everything by hand.
