    "Gets the job done"

    Posted 2026-02-19

Pros: The annotation features are easy to use and very responsive. There was no lag at all when I highlighted, underlined, and added sticky notes to a shared PDF.

Cons: The color schemes for the highlights could be improved compared to some desktop software.

Overall: I was reviewing a draft training manual for the new hire onboarding packet. The annotations were good at syncing with the downloaded file.

    "Clean convert every time"

    Posted 2026-02-19

Pros: PDF to JPG conversion resulted in clear and high-resolution images from a 20-page presentation file. Each page was exported as a separate file, which was exactly what was required.

Cons: A feature that allows mass renaming of exported images would be helpful.

Overall: The marketing team required individual slides as images for their social media posts. Every export was clear and labeled properly, which was a huge time-saver.

    "Fast signing process"

    Posted 2026-02-19

Pros: The PDF sign feature made it very easy to sign a document in the exact spot that I wanted the signature to go. There were many ways to sign, including drawing, typing, and uploading.

Cons: The signature pad could be a little more responsive on mobile browsers.

Overall: A lease renewal came through at the last minute, and the entire signing process took only about two minutes from upload to download.

    "practical but not perfect"

    Posted 2026-02-19

Pros: the pdf to word converter maintained most of the table formatting, which was a pleasant surprise. uploading was quick, and the converted file was ready in seconds.

Cons: font spacing was a bit off on a few pages, but not a big issue.

Overall: need to convert a rental agreement to an editable word doc for some changes. the converted file was ready to use right away with only minor adjustments needed.

    "Really solid compression"

    Posted 2026-02-19

Pros: Compressing eight large PDFs in batches resulted in all of them being below 3MB with no loss of quality. The speed was quite impressive even on a mid-range laptop internet connection.

Cons: It would be great to see the size of the compressed file before downloading.

Overall: Our team had to send a set of proposal documents via email with a strict attachment limit. ZenDocs was perfect in compressing the documents, and no one could tell the difference in quality.

    "Merging made simple"

    Posted 2026-02-19

Pros: The merge feature allowed me to merge 12 scanned documents into a single PDF file without any issues. The drag-and-drop functionality made the entire process seem extremely easy and fast.

Cons: The icons on the toolbar could be a little bigger, had to squint at them on a smaller laptop screen.

Overall: Had to combine a pile of vendor invoices into a single file before a deadline. The entire process took less than three minutes.

    "quick invoice scanning"

    Posted 2026-02-19

Pros: scanning receipts with the camera was lightning fast, and the ocr scan was perfect even with some dirt on the paper.

Cons: auto-crop sometimes misses the corners, and i wish there was an option for flash in dark storage units.

Overall: digitizing expenses for the week took minutes. scanning fuel receipts in the truck saved a lot of headache later.

    "Password protect feature"

    Posted 2026-02-13

Pros: Securing confidential files with password encryption is easy and secure. Provides assurance when divulging confidential details that only preferred persons have access to the files.

Cons: It would be great to have something like a password strength indicator to confirm users are creating strong and not easily guessable passwords.

Overall: Protected client NDAs and project briefs before sending them via email. The setup took only a few seconds per document, and none of my clients had issues opening the files after I also sent the passwords via text. Greatly helped ease my mind on sending sensitive information by this method instead of unencrypted attachments. Nothing beats security when working with sensitive information.

    "Great rotation tool"

    Posted 2026-02-13

Pros: Correcting orientation for scanned documents is no problem at all. Documents that arrived sideways or upside-down from the scanner are easy to correct with just a few clicks. The effect of the correction is visible immediately on screen.

Cons: Possibly more intuitive as bulk rotation for multiple pages: Currently, you have to choose individual pages before you can apply any rotation.

Overall: Scanned a bunch of receipts for expense reports, and, naturally, half of them were scanned wrong. Fixed 30 pages in maybe 5 minutes, though, and I did have to click on each one individually to rotate them. Much quicker than rescanning them in properly rotated, and it looks perfect enough for business use out of the gate.

    "decent for quick tasks"

    Posted 2026-02-09

Pros: handles basic pdf operations without requiring software installation. browser-based approach means that i can work from any computer without worrying about downloading programs and avoiding IT restrictions.

Cons: upload speed also varies greatly depending on the internet connection, which might sometimes be disappointing when dealing with large items in areas with slow wifi.

Overall: bounced from different computers at different clients this week, and being able to use zendocs from any browser was nice. also merged some proposals, split some reports, and signed some documents without requiring anything to be installed on clients' machines. did experience some issues uploading to slow wifi at a client's office, but that's probably more on them than on us.

    "Delete pages quickly"

    Posted 2026-02-09

Pros: Removing unnecessary pages from documents is incredibly easy and quick. Just select the pages for deletion, and they are gone in an instant-no complicated menus and confirmations to slow you down.

Cons: There is no clear undo functionality if you accidentally delete the wrong page, though downloading without saving may serve as a workaround.

Overall: Cleaned up a 50-page contract by removing outdated appendices and blank pages that were cluttering the document. Selection process was intuitive, and deleting of pages happened instant. Whittled it down to 32 relevant pages in about 3 minutes-much easier for clients to review the document. The only minor issue was nearly deleting the wrong section once; caught it before download, though.

    "Zendocs jpg conversion"

    Posted 2026-02-09

Pros: Converting PDF pages to JPG images is fast and produces high-resolution outputs that work perfectly for social media posts or website graphics. Quality settings give good control over file size versus clarity.

Cons: Downloading converted images one by one is tedious – a zip file option for batch downloads would speed things up considerably.

Overall: Extracted product catalog pages as individual JPG files to use on our e-commerce site. Each image came out crisp and clear at 300 DPI, which looked professional on product pages.

    "annotation tools are useful"

    Posted 2026-02-09

Pros: pdf highlighting and sticky note functionality makes collaborative work easier. it is possible for my team and I to review a document and add our notes on the pdf, rather than writing emails with our feedback.

Cons: the color options for highlights are only available in a few basic choices. would appreciate more choices to help group specific types of comments visually.

Overall: i have used it for a group project when we needed to review a draft of a research paper. all the members of the group were able to add their feedback and highlights to the PDF. although the resulting file had a slightly rainbow feel to it, it was a much more organized system than relying on emails. we had completed the process in half the usual time.

    "Excellent for contracts"

    Posted 2026-02-09

Pros: Converted image-based contracts into PDFs, which enabled text to be searched, thereby allowing specific terms to be quickly found without having to read through everything.

Cons: The search engine works properly but would be more convenient if it also highlighted all occurrences of search terms on the page at once.

Overall: Processed approximately 15 vendor contracts, which were originally scanned images without a text layer. The OCR feature was awesome – I could now instantly search for phrases like "payment schedule" or "termination clause" as opposed to going through all the scans again. The accuracy was good enough that I only found a few minor OCR errors when carefully reading through it.

    "Helpful for student work"

    Posted 2026-02-09

Pros: Assisted in combining different assignment PDFs into one document to be presented, which it seems many professors prefer to receiving different email attachments with each component of an assignment.

Cons: The file size may increase substantially when dealing with the merger of numerous documents, with no compression provided to facilitate easier management.

Overall: Combined three separate essays and a bibliography into one submission file for the final project. This process was quite easy, though the final merged file ended up being 8MB, close to the size limit in the submission portal. Had to go back and compress it after the merge. Would have been nice if the compression was included in the merge process.

    "PDF to excel accuracy"

    Posted 2026-02-09

Pros: Extracted tables from financial statements into Excel format with remarkable accuracy. Column alignment was maintained properly, and formulas were retained in most cases, which saved enormous amounts of time for data entry.

Cons: Sometimes headers require slight adjustments for proper formatting, and merged cells may not translate well.

Overall: Extracted the quarterly sales data from PDF format into Excel format for analysis. Approximately 90% of the data was extracted accurately, with slight adjustments required for header formatting. The ability to manipulate the data in Excel format, as opposed to PDF, saved me hours of time for copying and pasting.

    "Compress kept quality"

    Posted 2026-02-06

Pros: Compression greatly reduced the sizes of the files, while their image quality is identical to before. The compression is great for storing old project images without wasting valuable memory space.

Cons: I believe that the batch processing would speed up the archiving of my projects, since presently I’m processing every file individually, which can add up when handling large projects.

Overall: Archived an entire year's worth of design mockups that were consuming almost 2GB of cloud storage space. By archiving them, managed to whittle them down to around 400MB without any degradation in quality when viewing a zoomed-in version. This not only allows the clients to view the older versions if necessary, it's also freed up space for new projects.

    "form filling feature"

    Posted 2026-02-06

Pros: Filled out several PDF forms without the need to print them. Text fields function well, and the ability to save a form partway through is actually useful.

Cons: In some instances, the check box's functionality may require a certain level of clicking, which can be a little irritating at times when trying to go through a long list of check boxes

Overall: Has completed several online rental applications entirely online, as opposed to printing and scanning forms. Most text boxes were easy to fill in, though I noticed that checkboxes required a good clicking a couple of times to get them to register. Being able to save forms was really helpful when I was interrupted in the middle of filling one out.

Cons: Some tool descriptions might be more detailed, since users not familiar with PDF-specific terms might not understand what the feature does.

    "Decent rotate and reorder"

    Posted 2026-02-06

Pros: Turning sideways-scanned pages that come in sideways is no problem, and re-arranging them via drag and drop makes life relatively painless.

Cons: The size of the preview thumbnails is just a little too small on the screen of a laptop computer, which makes it a little more difficult to easily tell which pages need rotating just by glancing at the screen.

Overall: Corrected the batch of scanned lecture notes, which had half or so of its pages upside down or sideways. The drag-and-drop feature to arrange the pages worked flawlessly, even if I needed to zoom in on some of the smaller thumbnails to ensure I was rotating the right pages. This took about 15 minutes for 80 pages, which isn’t bad considering how disorganized the originals were.
