At its core is COMPRESS, which performs full ASME VIII-compliant pressure-vessel and heat-exchanger design; it handles complex calculations including minimum design metal temperature, nozzle intersections, static head, fatigue screening, and more; produces finite element analysis when needed; generates solid models; and automatically creates detailed drawings, design reports, and cost estimates. For maintenance, inspection, or re-rating of existing equipment, INSPECT adds Fitness-For-Service (FFS) capabilities (API 579 and related standards), assessing flaws such as corrosion, damage, or crack-like defects, computing remaining life, generating re-rating or repair recommendations.
