"The best game engine for anyone"

    Posted 2022-03-12

Pros: My favorite part of Unity is its engaging UI, since it's very easy to learn within a short period of time. In addition, Unity has an inbuilt asset store, where users can download free assets or purchase those that they need.

Cons: On Unity, there are fewer video courses available to learn. It works great on high-spec computers and laptops, but lags badly on low-spec computers.

Overall: By using Unity for development, management, growth, and monetization of our games, we can simplify the game development process and stay on top of the new era of AR and VR gaming.

    "Excellent game engine "

    Posted 2022-03-10

Pros: 1-Unity helped me with making 2d and 3d games as conveying is speedy, which recuperations time.

2-The Unity social class is huge, which helps in handling many inquiries.

3-As a computer programmer, Unity setting up language C# is easy to make and fathom.

Cons: 1 - The updates are free, every so often there are revolutionary enough changes beginning with one structure then onto the close to cause headaches

2 - Whether that be with what you at first have in for content or endeavoring to utilize assets from the online store, a couple of assets simply work for unequivocal structures, and notwithstanding the way that they seem like they are practical anyway may throw botches in making the current endeavor unusable until fixes.

Overall: 1 - I think Unity is an incredible asset when somebody needs to foster straightforward applications, in 3D and 2D. Since every one of the components and highlights given by the apparatus are exceptionally instinctive.

2 - Be that as it may, to put a strong characterized surface or different components (Well characterize tree), other programming can show improvement over Unity.

"The Unity platform is amazing for creating games, videos, etc."

    Posted 2022-03-09

Pros: Unity has made gaming so easy and addictive that it's no longer a complex affair; anyone with a basic understanding of mathematics can create games with Unity. It's easy and convenient, and the price is definitely right.Edit games and use interfaces to create fun games. Scriptable objects, assets store to obtain amazing assets for the games.

Cons: There has been some stability issues in newer versions although the old versions are becoming more stable. There has been some UI component issues, mostly related to scrollview and text. Sometimes there is a third-party Unity package manager.

Overall: The fact that the engine is free and easy to learn is incredible. There are many assets you can download for free or for a price that will increase your performance of a project as well.

    "A Powerful Game Development Tool"

    Posted 2022-03-07

Pros: -The Unity engine is a cross-platform engine that is used to develop video games for a variety of different platforms.

-The Unity engine is known for being easy to use, which makes it a popular choice for developers who are new to game development.

-The Unity engine comes with a wide variety of features that can be used to create a wide range of different types of games.

Cons: The Unity engine is a great game development engine, but there are some things that I do not like about it. One thing is that it can be difficult to create custom scripts for your game. Another thing is that the engine can be slow to load on some computers.

Overall: Unity is an extremely powerful engine that allows for a high degree of flexibility and customizability. It is easy to use for beginners, while also providing features and tools for more advanced users. "Confusing but all inclusive!"

    Posted 2022-03-04

Pros: I loved the features! There is so much that you can do with Unity. Whether it is just sculpting creations, creating 2-d sidescrollers OR creating a full fledged 3-d action packed game.

Cons: It was definitely hard to get the hang of right at first. I deleted so many things on accident while trying to edit them. But it's a learning curve. You'll get there!

Overall: I absolutely will continue to use this product. All I am doing is creating a game about my fiance's life and making it into a jrpg. But all together, super fun to use.

"Cheap and Best in the market"

    Posted 2020-12-05

Pros: The best part about Unity is the ease of access and the vast community it provides and apart from the support for both 3D as well as 2D game development it also provide tools for animation.

Cons: Comparing to other game engines in the market specifically for 3D game development, unity lacks a little in terms of texture and materials and that takes away the realism from the visualization.

Overall: If we look past the issue where unity lacks in, it is one of the best game engines in the market for beginners as well as pros, and its integration with other software and easy to use tools, and overall very cheap pricing makes it the best.

"One of the most robust options for AR/VR apps"

    Posted 2020-10-04

Pros: If you want to make an AR/VR app, and really be able to control how your assets interact with the user, Unity's one of the best choices out there. As far as I know, there aren't really other game engines with nearly as much documentation and support for immersive reality technologies as Unity.

Cons: If you've never used Unity before, it can be confusing. ARKit's plane detection sometimes takes a bit of jiggling to properly detect planes. Changing the view of your camera back to default isn't intuitive. C++ can be a pain. The API documentation lacks solid examples you can just change, so you're left wondering which bits and pieces are supposed to be used together.

Overall: Documentation feels rough round the edges but Unity is still the best option for would-be AR/VR devs.

    "Excellent for game development"

    Posted 2020-08-05

Pros: Available for free with most features.
    Lots of assets and abilities.
Great community support - lots of tutorials and guides.
Apart from PC it supports AR, VR and mobile game development as well.
    Detailed documentation.

Cons: Difficult for beginners - as expected the learning curve is not easy, it has lots of configurations and features and it takes lots of time to use it properly.

Overall: Unity is one of the most popular game engines today and is used by small as big game development companies. I recently started using Unity and it is great ( and free ). However it has a steep learning curve.

    "The complete game development platform"

    Posted 2020-07-25

Pros: - Unity can be used to make anything from small mobile apps to large console games.
    - It has a highly evolved ecosystem that serves the coders and the designers equally.

Cons: - Unity can be very very heavy on the system. If you do not have a powerful enough system it lags significantly.

Overall: Unlike Unreal, Unity is something everyone can try. It enables everyone with suitable tools and a simpler UI.

    "I love Unity!"

    Posted 2020-05-29

Pros: Unity has a massive userbase, some 500,000 people, and stellar support so any weak spots in its design, there is a solution available if you just ask. The UI is a bit overwhelming initially but it is really expandable, customizable and actually incredibly powerful. It's a great game development toolset for me as a 3d artist, especially with the visual scripting addons that are now available in the Unity Asset Store. The terms of use are also super reasonable, no cut of sales is normally taken by Unity like with the top alternative option, Unreal.

Cons: There are some things that are still tricky to do in Unity 'out of the box' so don't be surprised if you end up spending $100+ buying Unity store assets to streamline your game project and make the engine more pretty and powerful in ways that are useful for whatever game you are trying to develop. The Unity engine has a terrible public image among gamers because the best games made with Unity are the ones not Unity branded. But contrary to the gamers' assumption, this engine is actually powerful and can produce amazingly lean and well-optimized games.
(Just check out Monument Valley, The Room, Temple Run, Alto's Odyssey, RealMyst, Hitman GO, etc, on mobile and many other examples of Unity made mobile games that prove the point. If those games can run on your midrange phone with Unity and look nice, it's probably an indication that the engine's not poorly optimized.) Plus there are great PC games made in Unity too like Cities:Skylines. So it isn't impossible to do that, but you may need a careful use of polycount and texture UV maps, and some LOD/culling setups to do that well. But that would be true of any other engine too. Still, the frequent need to extend the engine with often paid assets to do specific things, and the public image issue are two of Unity's definite weaknesses.

Overall: I have spent a ton of time getting the hang of the engine and it is amazing what can be done with it. But as with most things, it isn't flawless and you need to put a lot of work in to make a good finished game with it. But... less work than with most other engines.

"Unity's support system makes it worth learning. "

    Edited 2020-05-24

    Pros: (+) Clean UI.
(+) Great amount of tutorials and documentation which makes it really easy
for beginners to take their first step.
(+) Good collection of high quality assets and texture packs.
(+) Ease of designing a game.
    (+ )Great platform support.

Cons: (-) Expensive licenses might be a bit cumbersome for freelancers.
    (-) Some optimization issues.

Overall: Unity is a great platform for game development which has its own share of problems. With great amount of learning resources to get into and drawing inspiration from the wonders of my top favorite games made with Unity like Stardew Valley and Alto's Odyssey, it is hard not to use this app. Barring the issues of licensing and optimizations, I pretty much enjoy everything it offers.
