Truss is a tax workflow automation platform aimed at tax professionals. It helps streamline the entire document lifecycle: securely requesting, organizing, annotating, delivering, and storing client documents. It uses AI-powered client-specific checklists (drawing from your tax prep software) so each client is only asked for what they need; it auto-sorts and intelligently renames files uploaded by clients; converts image files (jpg, png, HEIC, etc.) to tax-prep-friendly PDFs; supports e-signatures; offers automatic reminders to clients; and allows login-free uploads so clients don’t have to create accounts just to send files. It integrates with tax prep tools like Axcess, Ultratax, Drake, ProSystemFX, ProConnect, ProSeries, Lacerte, and ATX. Security is a strong focus; Truss is SOC 2 certified, uses AES-256 and Bcrypt encryption, follows OWASP-style standards, and ensures client data is never used to train large language models.
