About Take-Off by WEQS

Take-Off by WEQS is Windows desktop software for quantity surveyors and construction estimators measuring building drawings. It opens PDF, DWG, DXF and DWFx files, along with drawing photos and scans. After setting a scale, users measure areas, lengths, counts and angles by tracing or selecting existing linework in supported vector drawings. Measurements can be grouped and colour-coded, assigned reference numbers, and marked checked or queried. The take-off list links each quantity to its place on the drawing and totals items by group. Projects save drawings and measurements together in one file. Users can export quantities to Excel or CSV, copy rows into spreadsheets, and print marked-up drawings to PDF. The application installs and runs locally on Windows 10 or 11 and works offline, keeping drawings and quantities on the user's computer. It supports quantity take-off and drawing review workflows for construction plans.
