TOM was developed specifically for the translation industry and has been on the market since the early 2000s . It offers modules for managing customers, suppliers (freelancers), order and appointment management, integration of TM analyses (SDL/Across), invoicing and finance, reporting and export routines and much more. TOM is suitable for both freelancers and small and medium-sized translation agencies. TOM is primarily a desktop, i.e. not a cloud system, but has various web extensions. Since development is currently undergoing a major upheaval in the direction of web applications, the old TOM is no longer offered.
