Solar energy developers, engineers, data scientists, and operators who need high-resolution solar irradiance, weather, and PV power forecasting data delivered via API for planning, monitoring, forecasting, and optimizing solar assets worldwide
About Solcast
Solcast is a cloud-based solar and weather data software built to provide high-resolution, bankable historical, live, and forecast solar irradiance, weather, and photovoltaic (PV) power data for renewable energy applications, delivered through a scalable REST API and developer tools. It tracks real-time satellite cloud cover and blends that with advanced weather models to deliver solar irradiance forecasts from five minutes up to 14 days ahead with high spatial and temporal resolution, and also supplies historical time series from 2007 to seven days ago for performance analysis. Solcast supports multiple PV power forecast models (Rooftop PV, Advanced PV, and Premium PV) that estimate actuals and future output for solar assets of any scale, and its API returns data in JSON or CSV formats suitable for integration into energy software, analytics platforms, or custom workflows. Developers can access this data using native HTTP clients or SDKs (such as Python and C#) with code examples.
