Trainers, coaches, facilitators, Scrum Masters, teachers and everyone planning sessions professionally
About Sessionplan
Sessionplan is the free, privacy-friendly alternative to commercial session planning tools — browser-based, with no account, no cloud, and no subscription.
Structure your session as an interactive timeline of blocks (Input, Exercise, Discussion, Break, etc.). Set a start time and Sessionplan automatically calculates the start and end of every item. Reorder blocks via drag and drop — all timestamps update instantly.
Group related blocks, plan parallel breakout sessions, save elements to a personal library, and store recurring formats as templates. Share your agenda via link or export it as a JSON file.
All data stays locally in your browser — no cloud sync, no tracking, no ads. Free forever, works offline after the first load. No registration required.
Sessionplan is the modern standard for trainers, coaches, facilitators, Scrum Masters, and teachers who want to plan their sessions clearly, privately, and without unnecessary complexity.

"Made my workshop planning a lot easier (and is free)" Posted 2026-05-10
Pros: - Drag and drop is super smooth, times update automatically which saves a lot of headache
- No sign-up needed, you just open it and start
- Completely free, no "upgrade to Pro" popups or anything like that
- Love that everything stays in my browser. Apparently no data going anywhere
- Sharing via link is really handy when you need to send the agenda to a clientCons: Not much tbh. Had a small scare when I cleared my browser cache and lost a plan.. definitely use the dynamic link or export your JSON regularly.
Also I would love to try the collaboration feature with a co-facilitator in real time.Overall: I stumbled across Sessionplan when I was looking for a free alternative to SessionLab and honestly haven't looked back. It does exactly what it promises, helps you build a clean, visual agenda without any of the usual SaaS nonsense like forced accounts or paywalled features.

I use it for workshops and training sessions regularly now. It's not the fanciest tool out there, but it's simple, reliable, and free. That's really all I needed.
