"The left hand doesn't talk to the right hand" Posted 2023-10-24
Pros: The money is good while it lasts and the work itself is enjoyable if you're into reading/writing and can think logically.
The other taskers are generally cool people.Cons: So many people say that they've been removed for "quality" or some other generic reason, or no reason at all. I went in anyway thinking, it won't happen to me. Well guess what? It happened to me too. I had great quality scores and the numbers to prove it. I was making good money. I got promoted to Reviewer. The next week I was removed from all projects.
The weeks that followed consisted of dealing with support only to receive canned responses that contradicted themselves. No real solutions. I would get emails about new projects I can start on, but my dashboard would say I had none. I even got emailed a survey asking why I stopped using Remotasks. Like seriously? I never wanted to stop. You morons won't let me work!
I believe something got messed up with my account and since that's not in the script they just blow me off.Overall: It's clear when conversing with your peers that nobody has been working with Remotasks longer than a year. Most of them have been there a month, maybe two.

If you want to make a few hundred bucks before being kicked off the platform, I guess give it a try. But don't go in thinking anything they do makes sense. Remotasks is a chicken with it's head cut off. -

"INCOMPETENT AND UNPROFESSIONAL, A FRAUD, A JOKE!!" Posted 2023-10-24
Pros: There was nothing that I liked. They constantly lie and lie and lie ... this a fraud organization. No credibility whatsoever.
Cons: They lie, go against their word. They don't provide any reason or explanation for actions they take. They remove you from doing projects - after successfully completing them - without any warning, without any reason or explanation. Just a complete fraud and a complete joke!
Overall: I was working as an AI trainer completing tasks in field of expertise, Nutrition. After just a few days (as I was SUCCESSFULLY completing my tasks, i.e., they were accepted), I was informed that I was removed from my projects because of "low quality" work, and I was "in violation of Community Guidelines." I have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. I proceeded to inquire via 'support' as to what is 'low quality' so that I could make any appropriate improvements in my tasking work. I inquired numerous times ... each time I received a canned response stating that I did "low quality" work. I NEVER received any hint of a reason or explanation. Then I received a response stating that - "not to worry" - I would be allocated to a different project category, but IF I received another warning flag, I would be let go entirely. Well, the fact is that I NEVER even received an INITIAL warning in the first place!! Actually, I received TWO separate emails stating that I would be reassigned. However, I soon received a response from a different rep stating that I was removed from ALL tasking, i.e., let go. Once again, NO WARNINGS, NO REASON GIVEN, AND NO EXPLANATION. This is a completely incompetent and unprofessional organization. To accept an individual as an AI trainer after completing a screening process that took around 2 hours to complete ... and then hiring that individual ... and then giving that individual several tasks which he successfully completed ... to just boot that individual out the door without a specific reason or explanation?? I would say that's pretty bush league. This company is a complete a joke and a fraud. They should be investigated.

"Nice while it lasted" Posted 2023-08-09
Pros: The pay is every week and you don’t have apply with a resume. Those are really the only pros. I enjoyed doing most of the Ai tasks.
Cons: Remotasks is confusing and the TSM Leaders tell you one thing then it’s different the next day. You can get removed from a project for the smallest thing, the communication SUCKS!!! Submitting a request ticket on Remotasks is so USELESS, they’re not going to help!! The TSM leaders can’t even keep up with the taskers they have but yet hundreds of people are allowed to join each day, it’s honestly a JOKE.
Overall: Overall I made decent amount of money the first 3 weeks and it all went down hill no wonder you can’t find anyone who’s worked at Remotasks for at least a year!! I do not recommend

"They don't even give you work" Posted 2023-07-30
Pros: They do keep a consistent pay schedule. I can't think of any other pros to fill the character minimum.
Cons: They take an eternity to give you tasks, change what they want from the tasks constantly, the slacks are managed wildly different from project to project and the admins all seem incompetent at best, if you put in a support ticket the moderators will just say they can't help you and then call you names, the site is constantly breaking but if you ask for help either from support or slack admins they'll just tell you off instead of doing anything, the onboarding training is inconsistent with what work you're actually given, and sometimes your "queue" is literally just one task and then you have to wait ages to eventually be assigned more. Wow, I'm so glad I could get that six dollars, that sure pays my bills!
Overall: It's all around disappointing at best. If you want to get yelled at by staff while earning peanuts for writing essays, then this is certainly the place for you!
