Recap is privacy-first crypto tax software built in the UK. Connect supported exchanges, wallets and blockchains, or import a CSV, and Recap builds a picture of your holdings in pounds, then calculates your Capital Gains Tax and income position under HMRC rules: the same-day rule, the 30-day bed and breakfast rule and Section 104 pooling, applied in statutory order. Each disposal on the report shows how it was matched.

Your data is encrypted on your device with AES-256 and the keys stay with you, so Recap cannot read it. The same engine covers UK stocks and shares CGT.

    "Good Crypto tracker & excellent Customer Service "

    Pros: Ive been using Recap.io for many years now and would be lost now without it as all my crypto history & activity is in one detailed place
    Holds exact details of each and every crypto I hold including the various wallets
    Creates the necessary tax reporting for my Accountant
    Customer Service has always proved very friendly & helpful at resolving any issues
    Recap.io is user friendly once you get the hang of adding wallets, crypto details and activity
    Integrations with many of the main Platforms has been very helpful

    Cons: Nothing to report here happy so far with Recap.io providing me with what I need to track, assess & monitor all my crypto in one place.

    Overall: As mentioned I have been using Recap.io for many years now. In fact its the only tool Ive ever used to manage all my crypto particularly for tax purposes but also helps me track all my crypto from the very beginning.
    It is user friendly and when I do have any queries the Customer Support team have always been very helpful at helping with any resolutions. This is also the reason why I don't need to go anywhere else as happy with the overall use and care received thus far.
    I would recommend Recap.io to anyone in crypto looking for a tool that efficiently tracks their crypto & produces the relevant tax reporting.
