About ProWave COMTRADE Viewer
ProWave is a Windows desktop application for viewing and analyzing COMTRADE fault and disturbance records from protection relays and digital fault recorders. It reads IEEE C37.111 records from 1999 and 2013 in ASCII and binary formats, letting engineers review records from different relay manufacturers in one workspace. Users can open records in multiple tabs, align channels and timing, and view analog current, analog voltage, and digital signals in separate plot panels. T0, T1, and T2 markers show waveform positions and signal values. Phasor and harmonic views display RMS, total harmonic distortion, and phase angle measurements at cursor positions. A file browser filters for COMTRADE configuration files. The free edition is for individual use; a separately licensed OEM/enterprise edition supports company deployment or commercial redistribution. ProWave requires Windows 11 or later and at least 16 GB RAM.
