    "I love this devportal and it's helping us with platform engineering"

    Pros: We spent quite some time looking for an internal developer portal, part of our platform engineering efforts, setting up new patterns and getting software delivery faster. This was by far the most advanced technologically and fit our needs since it can easily create a service catalog for K8s.

    Cons: Needed to write more Jsons than we planned to, actually submitted a feature request to change this.

    Overall: So far we're very pleased. much better than backstage which we tried to implement and frankly failed.

    Pros: We chose this tool to provide developer self-service to our developers - we needed to both reduce the amount of tools the developers need to use and also to reduce developer error and waiting times for devops and SREs to service tickets. This is already a huge difference, with developers setting up ephemeral environments and asking for temporary permissions to resources.

    Cons: Some features we’ve asked for, like customized scorecards are still in the roadmap.

    Overall: Before Port, we tried to do the same with backstage and failed. We’re very happy with the solution and hope to use it more in the coming months.
