Personal Finance in Claude is an AI-powered personal finance assistant developed by Anthropic that helps individuals understand their finances through natural language conversations. The platform allows users to securely connect bank accounts and credit cards through Plaid to analyze balances, transactions, spending patterns, and upcoming payments. Users can ask questions about their expenses, compare spending across different periods, identify recurring charges, and estimate how much money will remain after scheduled bills. Claude can also detect potentially unusual transactions, duplicate charges, unexpected fees, and increases in recurring expenses. Its reporting capabilities include customizable spending charts, payment calendars, financial dashboards, and explanations of financial terminology. Personal Finance in Claude provides read-only access to connected accounts and is initially rolling out in beta to US subscribers on Claude Pro, Max, and Ultra plans.
