PDF Architect

Pros: PDF Architect 9 Pro has all the editing, security and conversion features I need on a daily basis. I tried the Standard version for the past 6 months, down from using the Pro version from 2022 til May this year. Standard worked great however my work scope expanded unexpectedly and I needed the other features available only in Pro. It's damned reliable, accessible and easy to get my work done. Simple as friggin that.

Cons: I tried to upgrade to Pro from my desktop app in the account management section but it went to a webpage no longer exits kinda thing. Not sure why that couldn't be fixed in a software update to the desktop app.

The Standard version was sometimes slow, and me too impatient surely, when stitching PDF documents together to form a single document. Not terrible, just slow. Probably heavy processing involved, but it would seem to freeze for a while and I wasn't sure the changes were made.

Overall: 99.52% satisfied. Not going back to the Standard version if I want to be as productive as I need to be. Oh, whether it's AI bot or a real person, the Chat made the process of upgrading to Pro easy and painless. It/she (Mary) let me have a discount based on the fact I already had purchased the Standard version about 6 months prior. Nice. Definitely sticking with Pro till I retire in 3 years.

Pros: Almost flawless in the program design. The merging of files from various types of file extensions helped me to easily compile a report.
The insertion of the watermark is effortless and nice.

Cons: I can't think of any at the moment.
Whatever I need and expected in the software, it can do.

Overall: User-friendly and easy to use. Never fail my expectations in terms of the features of the software.

Pros: Program works well and is easy to use. It does all that I need to deal with PDF's in a clear and efficient way.

Cons: Need to register even for free version. Pricing is per year and not forever which is a downside to buying the premium versions.

Overall: A good experience with PDF Architect. The program generally does what I require. I have used this in the past and will continue to do so.

Pros: That my comments about not wanting to renew contract were acted on immediately and much appreciated!

Cons: The renewal of the contract happened automatically and was charged against my credit card. I would have liked more notice so I could advise that I no longer needed the PDF service

Overall: Positive. I think the product is very good and I enjoyed using it for reports. I am not sure it was needed to record payments, donations and receipts.

Pros: I had a problem activating my account. Steve analyzed the issue and walked me through the fix. Great Job

Overall: GREAT Experience with Steve & Chat.

Pros: Mainly, the price... I needed a solution to creating and manipulating PDF files spending the less possible, and I found it in this product.

Cons: I liked more The original distribution of menu, sometimes it took me several minutes to find the way to do something.

Overall: A good tool, a good price... It saved me from spending plenty of money and gave me Just what I needed and a little bit more.

Pros: Been using the product since 2017. Able to edit documents. Add images as signature. Merger documents and even split them.

Cons: Not found anything wrong about the product. It is perfect.

Overall: Perfect alternative to Adobe Acrobat. Compress pdf, split, merge, add images, its a brilliant product.

Pros: Only contact PDF support three or four times in a dozen years.
I still use PDF Architect 7, as I found all the upgrades suffering from severe feature bloat.
Always received a swift and helpful reply within 48 hours.
They have gone to a new billing/support system another useless bot.
I recently renewed my license and though I only wanted basic renewal, they have charged me for OCR and other features I specifically did not want. Maybe there was default feature addition in the small print. I'm not sure.
Try to contact support, which is no longer supported, I redirected to their bot.
Naturally, there was no answer to my FAQs and after drilling through the menus, there was a Contact Us via Email link.
Which I clicked on. Filled out the field. An pressed Submit.
Guess what?
The feature didn't work!
Of course.
I'll try again later.

Cons: Charged for features I didn't want.
Impossible to correct Billing Support to disconnect and obtain a refund.

Overall: PDF Architect 7 actually a delight to work with and I have used it for a dozen years. Only contacted support three or four times in the whole period, usually for billing / activation problems which were handled in 48 hours.
Now charged for features I neither wanted nor would used and it's impossible to contact a human being to straighten it out.

Pros: Prompt Service and Helpful Agents. It is always a pleasure to share the problem, and to expect the solution within minutes.

Cons: Have to go via Portal rather than a simple email, like before.

Overall: I would happily recommend it to everyone as it is overall a great all-purpose product. Only drawback currently is the non-availability of a life-time purchase option, which would increase its users manifold.

Pros: Easy to use; especially like the "whiteout" feature under the Comments section which allows any undesired areas to be erased.

Cons: Would prefer a stand-alone purchase option rather than an annual subscription which must be renewed annually. Even a 2- to 3-year subscription at a discount would be much appreciated.

Overall: I use PDF Architect as supplemental support to my existing Adobe Acrobat Pro desktop subscription which does not offer the much beloved "whiteout" feature.

Pros: Finally was able to access chat to confirm my unwanted software was cancelled.

Cons: Website adds upgrades that must be deleted before paying. I wanted the $29.95 Standard Plan--accidentally added upgrades for total of $64.80. Took 2+ hours to finally resolve the issue

Overall: Product works well, but beware of unwanted add-ons when placing order. Chat is open M-F--watch time, it is calculated for London!

Pros: This product is very easy to use with excellent support if required. The software is very keenly priced.

Cons: Putting in the password can be a problem for first time use.

Overall: I can use this product without getting stressed. The software is very well designed and the package can be supported on five computers for a one time price.

Pros: This program does the same job for me for much less than other programs! The technical assistance is fast and thorough! Well pleased.

Cons: It's not free but really nothing else that I can think of.

Overall: Well pleased for the investment. Many programs cost significantly more, provide less support and perform no better.

Pros: Great Software.

Cons: Charging my credit card even when stopped.

Overall: Great Software - But they just take subscriptions even when they have been stopped or even sorted by their own people. I have had this 3 times in 2024 now.

Pros: First I was using pdf (standard) for a while and then iI decided to improve and update towards pdf-Architect ; also it was more affordable in comparison with Adobe.

Cons: Honestly I don't have any issues that keep me from choosing this product.

Overall: It is a very easy hands on tool, i recommend it to all user professional or non professional; the online support is very reactive.

Pros: I like the user-friendly application.

Cons: None. I am very much satisfied with the product. Not found any cons of using the product so in my view there is no cons in my opinion.

Overall: Very satisfied customer with the user-friendly app and excellent customer support. The best part is the price.

Pros: I had purchased Architect 7 and after upgrading, I was asked to work on Architect 9 which was not comfortable for me. Today, one Mr. Andrew solved the issue online via chat.

Cons: The interface tools buttons and the customisation of the tools which were available in Architect 7 could not be found in Architect 9.

Overall: The support system via chat is excellent. As a matter of fact, since I was once informed that there is no support for Architect 7 PRO +OCR, I had almost decided to stop subscribing. Now, I will continue to renew so long as the support for Architect 7 PRO + OCR is made available.

Pros: Easy to convert to pdf and merge files. easy to download and setup. can't find any other positive things to say about this misleading scam

Cons: Can't save your work unless you upgrade to paid version. was supposed to be free, but free version is so crippled it's useless. always asking you to upgrade or activate.

Overall: Misleading advertising and loss of time. I'd rather do the work again than pay to be able to save my work on supposedly free software.

Pros: Very useful tools to add quickly a signature in a document or complete required field in contract document for example instead of print and scan manually.

Cons: Unfortunately the basic version software is too limited.

Overall: PDF Architect is a useful product and in addition the after sale service is good too. They care and respond quickly to my request.
