About Nowl
Nowl is a semantic access layer that makes existing enterprise software and databases queryable for AI in business terms. Instead of giving an AI free SQL access, Nowl translates business questions into validated, read-only query plans and shows how every answer was derived, so results are traceable instead of a black box. A privacy layer filters data before anything is transmitted to a language model. Nowl is self-hosted (except the language model), EU data residency can be selected, and it changes nothing in the existing systems. It connects to assistants such as Claude via MCP. Typical uses: ad-hoc questions from sales, finance, service and management that standard reports do not cover. Built for mid-sized companies with grown software landscapes. Currently in a pilot program.
