Pros: I like that Nickel was easy to set up, has unlimited free ACH transactions in the month and customer service is easy to reach.

Cons: I don't really have much dislikes - but if I had to say something, perhaps the lead time for the ACH payments to hit the bank account.

Overall: My experience has been positive - when changing payment processing, one worries, especially with a new company. that there could be issues, but it has been a smooth experience from set up to the first payment processed.

Pros: Ease of use, I process payments very easily with Nickel. The link makes it quick and easy for my customer's to make their payments.

Cons: Thus far, I have not run into any problems with Nickel that would make me dislike the program.

Pros: I appreciate the service Nickel provides for payment processing. It doesn't penalize customers or business with constant fees when using bank account payments. Automated reminders, a professional personalized payment portal, and diverse integration options add significant value. The initial setup was also very easy making the transition from Quickbooks smooth and hassle free.

Cons: I have no dislikes at this time. I think that this payment processing option is worth the time and effort it takes to obtain.

Overall: I am more than pleased with their services. Whenever I need assistance, someone is always available either by chat or by phone. But I have rarely needed assistance due to the ease of use with this program. I would encourage anyone to use them.

Cons: Because its new, its not integrated into our practice management and invoicing software yet but we will continue to use it.

Overall: I highly recommend for companies looking for an easy ACH solution. It is incredible easy to use, its free, and its incredibly easy to set up.

Pros: Easy to use ACH bank transfer processing. The option to automatically add 3% to all credit card transactions.

Cons: There is no mobile application. The website is nearly unusable on mobile, which is a real shame. It needs a mobile app ASAP so users can send invoices on the go.

Overall: Ever since Quickbooks started charging for ACH banks transfers, I've been on the lookout for a new platform that does not charge for this. I have a small wedding photography business (Kyle Carnes Photography) and I hate giving away money needlessly to credit card companies.

Then I found Nickel, which not only doesn't charge for ACH bank transfers, but they also allow adding a 3% processing fee to all credit card payments. There is also no subscription fee. This is huge for my business.

I also love that the platform is so intuitive and easy to use. It doesn't have a bunch of feature bloat. Just quick and easy invoicing and payment processing.

You can get to sending out your first invoice within minutes with your business branding and easy payment options.

While ACH payments can take a few days to enter my bank, this is normal for the industry, so it's to be expected and doesn't take any longer than other platforms.

If you're looking for a more feature-rich platform with accounting and all that then Nickel possibly might not be for you. But if you just want to simply send competent invoices and circumvent credit card processing fees then Nickel fits the bill.

Pros: Easy to set up and utilize. It has taken me a little while to figure out how to organize things best so that I can find invoices easily, but that was user error and now that I've figured that out its been smooth sailing.

Cons: I wish it had a line by line where it added up the invoices for you - for instance if you are adding three invoices - it has a line for each one and adds up the total. Just keeps human error out of it.

Overall: If you are looking for a great way to invoice clients, I would not hesitate to try Nickel. It has saved us at least $1,000 this year and my clients say it is easy to use and they like it.

Pros: We love that the most basic features are free and we really don't need to upgrade AT ALL to do what we need to. We love that it's free, it integrates with QuickBooks AND it can replace QuickBooks' payment link with it's only payment link (which helps us reduce the merchant fee down to NOTHING). It's very easy to set up and even easier to use.

Cons: As an accounting firm who has set this us (and maintains this) for a lot of our clients, it's a pain in the butt that we can't adjust the permission levels for the team members we add to our firm Nickel account. I don't want some of my employees seeing what bills we are paying and how much they're for (especially if they're to other independent contractors/subcontractors). Our work around is adding critical team members directly into each client's Nickel account however, that takes away one of the free seats AND that means team members have to have a UNIQUE login to each client's Nickel account because Nickel does not allow your email to be associated with several Nickel accounts. Our workaround, that Nickel support helped us with, is to create a unique email login for each client.

Overall: Overall, I would highly recommend this payment processor over other processors because it's free, easy to use, secure and integrates with QuickBooks. I hope they ALWAYS have a free plan to service all the small businesses out there!

Pros: We’ve definitely seen noticeable savings on our credit card processing fees and ACH transfers compared to our previous provider. The platform is both secure and user-friendly. It's clear they genuinely care about helping businesses keep more of what they earn.

Cons: Some certain features available in QuickBooks invoicing don’t carry over from the Nickel system. For example, I miss being able to see when an invoice email has been opened and viewed.

Overall: Their system is reliable, easy to use, and their team has been professional and responsive every step of the way.

Cons: The only feature I see that is still lacking is the multiple level approval process. They only allow a single level approval process.

Overall: I am happy with Nickel and will continue to use it. It's customer support and ease of use are what keep me using it.

Cons: I would like to have the recurring payment feature without a monthly fee. Beyond this one feature - I have been very pleased with every aspect of Nickel.

Pros: Simple to use. Reporting is solid. Unique links are a plus, and the emails are very timely. For my use case this is exactly what I need. While there are integrations that could be helpful, my use case needs SIMPLICITY and SPEED, and I feel like I get those.

Cons: Reporting, specifically export to CSV was missing a few columns that would be very helpful. It is not a deal breaker but was one thing that stood out. I would also like the ability to save customers and contacts.

Overall: Overall, a very good experience. I moved from Melio because it was inconsistent with it's reporting and very frustating because of that. I found Nickel, gave it a try and has been very useful for my needs.

Pros: I did a deep dive of like 10 other digital payment websites and ended up choosing Nickel. The main reason I chose Nickel is because it has a 0% fee for ACH payments, but it also has some other nice features. It has pretty seamless QuickBooks integration, and what I find most useful is the general payment acceptance link they give you. I can literally send this link to anyone and accept payment from them so I don't have to worry about customizing any invoices or sending the wrong link or anything.

Cons: No major issues with Nickel so far - support is pretty responsive and have fixed the small issues I have ran into.

Overall: Overall really satisfied. Very simple, but also very effective for the things that I need accomplished.

Pros: I love Nickel. I had looked at multiple more mainstream competitors, but with the large cost per transaction, none looked totally appealing. Nickel offers 90% of the features with 0% of the high fees. I have since started using them for all of my invoices across multiple companies.

Cons: The only thing I currently wish Nickel had would be features for more types of businesses, such as selling tickets for classes or digital goods. There isn't really a clean way to do that right now, but it's something that could easily be added.

Overall: Nickel is a great payment application. I've been working with it for almost a year now. I have nothing but good things to say about it. It's easy to use, it works well, and it's made my job a lot easier. It lets me do the same tasks as I could with a different service, but way more quickly and easily. I have already recommended Nickel to many of my colleagues, and they're just as happy with it as I am. It's a good choice for any user looking for payment software.

Pros: Nickel was very helpful from signing up to getting started to execution. My main criteria when selecting a payment processor was reasonable ACH fees and the ability to pass on credit card fees to my clients. Nickel offers free ACH processing and the ability to pass on credit card fees. From sign-up to execution, everything went smoothly and I have not heard a single complaint from my clients.

Cons: I have been using Nickel for around four months now and I have no complaints.

Overall: My clients have been asking about paying me electronically for a while now. I wish I had found Nickel sooner. Their free ACH processing and the ability to pass on credit card charges were the features that hooked me. Their excellent customer service is the icing on the cake.

Pros: It is able to sync to the accounting platforms and easy to setup to. The customer support helped quickly resolve a minor problem.

Cons: I wish it can show me a total of the amount and the number of transactions for the invoices that weren't paid when I select them all.
I wish the transfers of funds were quicker. It isn't as fast as Melio. Maybe over time it might.

Overall: it is good as a great alternative to the other platform that I was using for years. Support is quick to fix a problem. I didn't even submit a ticket. I just simply replied to an email about how my experience was. It was having many duplicate invoices and even when an invoice was changed within the system, it was producing those. Nickel got it fixed the very next day.
