    "Stay away from them"

    Edited 2024-09-16

Pros: They will charge you without giving any notice. Their POS is easy to use and its user friendly. Online ordering is easy to use as well, but payments will be always done manually and its not clear.

Cons: Over promised features. Thirdparty integration will never happen, despite of sending several emails. Backend is not fully integrated with pos, analytics are not 100% proper.

Overall: Please stay away from them. They will over promise features and they will take ages to solve a query. They charge us for a whole year without giving any notice and when we ask for the money they never replied back. Never use their online ordering system, they won't pay you full amount. Not recommended at all.

"Next Order POS and Online Ordering"

    Edited 2024-01-22

Pros: Fantastic POS and Online ordering system. I have a busy pizza shop and next order integrates all my phone/web and third party orders to the kitchen monitor. Been using Next Order for over a year now.
Pos has automatic deal detection, Caller Id, very easy to use and no need for expensive hardware, Runs just fine on android tablet.
Great system, i train my staff in minutes to use the system. Excellent value for money and 24/7 support if needed.

Cons: Sometimes changing things in the back end can be a little complicated, but support is always there to help.

Overall: I am very happy with Next Order, It has streamlined our online ordering and Pos system. All orders are displayed on KDS monitor which is very customisable. We no longer struggle with tickets everywhere, and orders coming from different tablets/printers. Menulog, DoorDash and Uber Eats orders are all fully integrated into the POS and KDS display. The system can handle the busiest of nights with ease. Once the menu is set up and running, its a breeze to use. Highly recommend.

"ACCC report lodged - Next Order cannot be trusted - avoid "

    Posted 2023-05-03

Pros: The “ready for pick up” button and driver tracking was ok. That’s all though. Avoid this company - we’ve lodged an ACCC report into unacceptable business practices.

Cons: Overpromised and under-delivered. Avoid - we’ve lodged an ACCC report into unacceptable business practices.

Overall: I actually wish I could leave a -10 star review for this company, as the experience has been a nightmare.

We were lured to the company on the promise of a better e-commerce and POS system, which couldn't be further from the truth. The sales team were warm and friendly - promising to look into things, but it actually didn't happen. When I had concerns about switching to NextOrder, and asked for a meeting with the Founders, I was given the run-around.

The customer success managers had the tendency to say what you wanted to hear and handball or ghost.

Firstly, the customer success team sent out a second-hand Samsung Galaxy tablet, which was locked and unable to be reset. We needed to purchase a new tablet ourselves a day before we were due to launch, with the promise of a reimbursement in our monthly fees. When we decided to transition back to our previous software provider, the team ghosted us, not responding to messages about the reimbursement of the tablet.

We were told that the software could apply a promotion in a similar way to our previous system, which was completely false and not resolved.

We were also told that financial paybacks from Stripe would occur daily, but this is also false. They come 10-days after the transactions were captured. There was also a number of questionable transaction fees deducted from our revenue, which still haven't been returned to us in a transparent and honest way.

Lastly, even after we asked to cancel our service, we were charged website subscription fees not once, twice! This was completely unacceptable, so an ACCC report was lodged.

NextOrder promised the world and under-delivered. If you're looking to switch to this company, don't. They can't be trusted.

"Promised the world but didn't deliver"

    Posted 2023-04-22

Pros: The sales pitch would good with promises of great functionality, however, it didn't live up to the promises.

Cons: From first contact to using the POS we had about 10 days until we opened our restaurant. We were promised that they could have our menu up and running. Bear in mind you should be able to edit your own menu as the functionality is there but problems with the system meant only Next Order could edit it. On the day of opening after repeated phone calls, emails and texts, we couldn't get through to Daniel who was the one setting everything up for us. So we tried to call on another phone and got straight through-he was avoiding/ghosting us. Due to mistakes with the menu set up we lost $1000's of dollars in the first few days due to online sales not pricing correctly-we were so busy we couldn't stop and check every sale and online sales would go through for whatever the amount in the system was. We complained and asked for the menu to be fixed but it took them another week to correct it. Glitchy issues with the system meant things like multiple table orders for the same table would price incorrectly, orders disappeared, and other issues caused our staff to be more stressed than they should have on opening night. Functionality like Google Reviews didn't work and after discussing with them and asking for it to be set up they finally admitted it didn't work right now. Payments, so apparently it takes up to 7 minutes for a payment to be approved, even if the eftpos terminal says it's approved it could reject the payment after the customer has left and you lose their payment. After dealing with the frustration for more than 6 weeks we made the change to another POS system without telling Next Order so we could get our money and be done with them. However, they held our final payment until hardware was returned, and even though we confirmed in writing how much would be paid out they didn't pay the full final amount which we are now fighting for! Do not deal with the company. The only way I got a response from them was messaging one of the owners through LinkedIn. You shouldn't have to go to those extremes.

Overall: Bluntly, poor, stressful, bad, annoying, frustrating and every other negative word you can think of. From being Ghosted, promises broken regularly, lied to and ignored. If their system had worked the way they had promised we would still be with them as the promised functionality, options, and features are great, but it doesn't live up to the promises.
