Speed Test
Download speed measured in megabits per second (Mbps), how fast your computer can receive data from a server on the Internet. Upload speed, how fast your computer can send data to a server on the Internet. Ping, also known as “latency”, measures the reaction time of your Internet connection by calculating the time it takes between sending out a request to getting a response. Measured in milliseconds (ms), ping indicates how responsive your Internet connection is. Jitter, based on multiple measures of pings, jitter measures the consistency of your Internet connection. Also measured in milliseconds, the smaller the jitter, the more stable an Internet connection. Speed Test works with a global network of over 5,000 testing servers. The app selects a server nearby your current location with a fast ping, which usually indicates a reliable Internet connection with good throughput.

Cloudflare Speed Test
Cloudflare Speed Test is a tool that allows you to measure the speed and consistency of your connection to the Internet. You can use it to verify that the speed your ISP promised you is the speed you are getting, compare different ISPs or test network connectivity in different parts of your house. The measurements run on the Cloudflare network, which spans data centers in over 200+ cities worldwide. This ensures you are testing against a server that is close to you, which means you are measuring only the speed of your ISP, with minimal networks in between that may impact your score. There are many speed test tools out there. Our mission is to help build a better Internet. To do so, we believe in giving users a choice of different services, you shouldn’t be tied to one provider and you should be able to compare results across different tools. The test uses the Cloudflare anycast network to test network performance.

nPerf
Test your ADSL, xDSL, cable, optical fiber or satellite broadband connection bandwidth. This speed test relies on an exclusive algorithm allowing you to measure accurately download bitrate, upload bitrate and latency of your connection. nPerf uses a worldwide dedicated servers network, which is optimized to deliver enough bitrate to saturate your connection so that we can measure its bitrate accurately. nPerf speed test is compatible with all broadband and mobile connections: ADSL, VDSL, cable, optical fiber FTTH / FTTB, satellite, WiFi, WiMax, cellular 2G / 3G / 4G (LTE), 5G. The nPerf speed test has been designed by telecom enthusiasts to enable you to accurately measure the speed of your Internet connection easily, in only one click! Oh... and this speed test is absolutely free of ads! Indicates the delay a small packet of data requires to make a round-trip from your computer to the nPerf server. The shorter the delay, the most reactive is your connection.

FCC Speed Test
Accurately measure the performance of your mobile broadband service by running active tests to evaluate the following metrics, download and upload speed, latency, jitter and packet loss. You can run these tests over both Wi-Fi and cellular connections. The data from these tests contribute to the FCC’s Measuring Broadband America program. The program is run by the FCC to fulfill its Congressional mandate to collect and make publicly available accurate and transparent performance metrics on US broadband. Your privacy is completely safeguarded. No personally identifiable information is collected. You can selectively run manual tests in the app across download speed, upload speed, latency, jitter and packet loss to accurately measure broadband or cellular performance. You can set a monthly data usage cap to ensure tests do not go over the limit. You can also monitor data usage in the app so you do not exceed monthly allowances by your carrier.
