"Finally stopped copy-pasting into ChatGPT just to fix a text" Posted 2026-07-01
Pros: Honestly the biggest thing for me is not having to leave the app I'm typing in. I used to copy my message into a separate app, clean it up, then paste it back, this just does it right there in the keyboard. The rephraser is the one I use most. I switch a work Slack message from Changing tone from "casual" to "professional" in like two taps instead of rewriting the whole thing myself. Synonym suggestions are solid too, saved me a few times when I kept reusing the same word in an email
Cons: Only real nitpick is the translation feature reads a little stiff on longer messages, more literal than a native speaker would put it. Easy enough to tweak yourself after, just wish it was a bit more natural out of the box
Overall: I've had it on my phone for about 6 months now, mainly use it for work emails and cleaning up texts before I send them. It's not magic, you still have to proofread what it gives you, but it cuts down the time I spend rewording things by a lot. Grammar/spelling catch is reliable, that part just works in the background without me thinking about it. Would recommend it to anyone who types a lot on their phone and hates switching apps to fix a sentence
