About InSnap
InSnap is a desktop screenshot, screen-recording and step-by-step guide app for macOS and Windows. It captures screen regions, windows and interface elements, with tools to annotate images, blur or mosaic details, pin references above other windows, search capture history and copy text using on-device OCR. Users can record demonstrations with system audio, a microphone and camera, then trim and export video; Pro adds GIF recording, auto-zoom and camera effects. The guide feature turns a task into editable, annotated steps that can be exported to PDF, Word, PowerPoint, HTML, Markdown, SCORM 1.2 or JSON. An optional Cloud subscription hosts captures and provides share links with expiry and password controls. The core app is free; a one-time Pro license unlocks advanced tools for up to three devices. InSnap is suited to people explaining software, documenting workflows, reviewing interfaces and preparing how-to material.
