A go/ short link is a way for somebody to type a short, memorable link such as go/hr rather than a hard-to-remember link into their browser. The user's browser uses an extension or DNS to resolve the link to Goto Tools' servers. This server then redirects the browser to the full URL. Goto Tools “go links” is a streamlined system to allows people inside your company to create memorable links to popular destinations. The concept of “go links” or similar short linking systems started back in the days of AOL which reserved keywords for simplified navigation. Later, a system was created inside Google and was used pervasively. If you use SSO inside your company, it is helpful to create go links directly to the SSO login page. This prevents users from getting prompted to log in- just to redirect to their SSO page after entering their email. Link owners are able to edit and delete links. To add an additional owner, edit the link and add the email address of as many people as you like.
