The execution environment contains specialized tools for actually running secondary copies of industrial control system applications within purpose-built, hardened virtual machines, “hydrated” by configuration data from the integrity environment. All components of the Fortress platform are kept on specialized infrastructure that is logically and physically separated from the client’s primary network.
