    "Support Small Businesses"

    Posted 2022-07-31

Pros: I love that many of the products purchased on Etsy are from small businesses, which it feels good to support them. Each product is very unique and different. I like getting all of my meaningful gifts from Etsy, because the products all seem like they are made with love.

Cons: The communication between seller and buyer isn't always the easiest, especially if they are in a different time zone or don't speak the same language.

Overall: Overall, if you are wanting nice handmade products that are made with love I would suggest looking into buying something from Etsy.

    "Great for small businesses"

    Posted 2022-03-04

    Pros: Ease of selling.
    Ease of Buying.
Little or low fees for both parties.
Ratings make your shop go up higher on the list.

Cons: Not a lot to not like about Etsy. Sometimes your craft gets lost within many of the same type of craft, but if you are good, you'll be on top.

Overall: Etsy is great for small businesses to sell handmade/homemade goods for so many reasons. You can't find the things at Walmart that you do on Etsy for the quality.

"Best Resource for Creative Gifts "

    Posted 2022-02-17

Pros: The best small business owner platform you can find online. They are a global connection for customers and creatives to sell their art and make a living, I love Etsy!

Cons: You have to do your research on the artist, sometimes their products aren’t as high quality as they say. But Etsy is good with requiring a certain standard from their retailers.

Overall: I enjoy using Etsy as a resource to look for gifts and products that I know are handmade and more creative than any corporate store.

    "Mostly great on both ends"

    Posted 2020-11-19

Pros: You'll get a bigger audience here than on some of the other indie selling places like Store Envy, but that will also depend on your audience and items. You don't need to do much to set up a shop and you can sell pretty much anything here, from digital downloads to handmade goods to old supplies you have around.

Cons: Etsy's been messing things up for sellers more over the years, especially with the way they do ads. Standing out from the huge amount of sellers can also be tough if you sell something really popular and common.

Overall: Etsy can be a good way to make some extra cash or find some cool, unique items for gifts. The way they do ads and shipping isn't fair to the sellers, but you'll probably get your biggest audience on Etsy.
