"No data on servers" Posted 2026-01-22
Pros: Diode Collab is the only chat and file sharing app that I know of that doesn't store data on the cloud AND that doesn't require us to run a server. It has chat, but importantly also has a "drive" UI like Google Drive. Also, we routinely need to provide our team with private AI and private dashboards for our business systems - Diode Collab integrates with the rest of their zero trust networking capabilities and makes this basically one-click.
Cons: It is more complex than a consumer chat app - more like Slack or Discord, so that always takes new team members some time to get used to it. They use blockchain to achieve the "Self Custody and Serverless" approach, so things that require blockchain transactions take longer than normal apps. e.g. when you join a Zone, that takes a minute or two, whereas with other chat apps like Slack it is faster.
Overall: Overall we love the full SaaS / no-maintenance approach that doesn't leave our org's data on the cloud. This is the way of the future and they are adding / improving weekly.

"Secure, Simple, and Stress Free" Posted 2026-01-21
Pros: Using Diode has been a really smooth experience overall. Once you get going, everything just makes sense clients, fleets, zones, and secure connections all work together without needing centralized servers or extra services. I really like knowing that everything is end-to-end encrypted by default and that I’m fully in control of my identity and access.
Cons: Honestly, I don’t really have anything negative to say. If I had to nitpick, there’s a bit of a learning curve at first just because Diode does things properly instead of taking shortcuts, but once you understand it, it all clicks. Other than that, no issues, no headaches, and nothing that takes away from the overall experience.
Overall: What stood out to me most is how lightweight yet powerful the network feels. You connect to one PoP and suddenly the whole network is available. It feels secure without being restrictive, and flexible without being messy. Definitely something I’d trust for serious, long-term use.

"Marketing consultant" Posted 2025-08-18
Pros: I use Diode Collab almost daily. It let's me chat and share assets securely with clients. It's easy to set up and onboard. What I like most is the ability to create secure zones for my clients that only they can access. The usernames are anonymous so there is no personal information needed. When we need security and anonymity, Diode is the solution.
Cons: Diode uses blockchain authentication so a new zone may take up to 5 minutes to initialize, but it's a small price to pay for zero trust security.
Overall: Diode Collab allows me to securely collaborate with clients around the world. No need for VPN's or other tricky security setups.

"A privacy-first collaboration tool I’ve been testing since the beginning" Posted 2025-08-06
Pros: I've been testing Diode Collab for a few months — actually since the very beginning — and I consider it an excellent communication tool for anyone who values the security of their data and information.
One of the features I like the most is the ability to create your own zone, like a private server or community, similar to platforms like Discord or Slack — but with zero-trust protection built in by default. That level of privacy is simply not offered by traditional tools.Cons: There’s a small learning curve at first, especially for users unfamiliar with decentralized tools — but once you get the hang of it, the experience is smooth and rewarding. I believe that with every new update, the user experience will become even more intuitive.
Overall: Diode Collab is incredibly useful, especially for those looking for a privacy-first solution. The ability to control your data, organize your space, and collaborate securely makes it a powerful alternative to traditional platforms.

"Diode Collab security" Posted 2025-08-06
Pros: Diode Collab offers a powerful, privacy-focused alternative to traditional remote access and collaboration tools. I’ve been using it to securely publish services via CLI and manage edge nodes without exposing IPs or relying on centralized servers. The decentralized architecture and E2E encryption provide confidence that my data and traffic are protected. Ideal for developers or teams who care about sovereignty and security in their workflows.
Cons: The learning curve for new users could be improved — especially for those unfamiliar with the command line. A more intuitive onboarding UI or beginner-friendly dashboard would help broaden its reach.
Overall: The best part is its privacy-first, decentralized infrastructure. I love how I can publish and share content peer-to-peer without relying on any central server. The CLI tool is lightweight, fast, and ideal for developers who value control and transparency.

"Diode Collab for Secure Collaboration" Posted 2025-08-05
Pros: Diode Collab makes it simple to manage both work and personal collaboration in one place from chatting and taking notes to storing files, organizing folders, and creating Zones. Everything stays completely private and secure because Diode never stores or accesses your data. Getting started is easy as well by just downloading the app and creating a profile with no personal information needed.
Cons: Some functionalities can take a minute to become familiar with, but if there are any roadblocks, the team is very responsive and ready to help direct you.
Overall: Overall, I really like using Diode Collab for all types of uses in my everyday life. It fits my needs for communication, storage, note taking, etc. like any other collaboration app would do but without any worries of security.
