Geoscientists and reservoir engineers searching for a tool for scalable subsurface interpretation, enabling efficient analysis of geological, petrophysical, and production data across large datasets

About Danomics

Danomics is a cloud-native subsurface interpretation platform designed to help geologists and engineers interpret the subsurface better than ever before. It offers advanced mapping and reservoir characterization tools, scalable, cloud-powered log analysis, and powerful, cloud-based decline curve and type curve analysis. Danomics allows users to import well headers, logs, tops, core data, shapefiles, and more in widely popular formats, and generate structure and isopach maps with tools that honor geological principles and rapidly pick tops with assisted tops correlation. Users can rapidly scale interpretations to thousands of wells and customize interpretations using spatial interpolation tools, and generate 3D reservoir property models and visualizations to gain deeper insights into production drivers. It includes features such as mineral inversion-based workflows, automated data conditioning, ML-powered washout repair, lithofacies modeling, shear log modeling, etc.

"Growing software for geologist and engineers"

    Posted 2026-05-06

Pros: The support is great. They have a small core team that really knows how to solve problems and get you moving when something comes up.

The software itself is well built - it's rare that you hit bugs or that there's something that is just impossible to do. You can make structure maps, isopach maps, property maps of pretty much everything. It also has cross-sections, production forecasting, and seismic interpretation

Cons: There are a lot of options. For example there are like 10 different water saturation methods, each of which has 3-4 different parameters you need to know how to set. So, it can be intimidating if you are a non-expert like me.

Overall: It's something that I recommend to all my colleagues that are at small to mid sized companies. It is way better than sticking around with Petra and the cost ain't half bad.

    "Potential won’t be reached "

    Posted 2025-08-29

Pros: It’s reasonably priced. User friendly. Support is given by the creator, which can also be a con because of his availability.

Cons: The product is good but will never reach its potential with the owner’s mindset and lack of desire to invest any money or resources into the company. This company is cheap in everything they do. It’s a one man show (owner) with a software developer in the background.

Overall: The (overseas) owner tries to manage sales, marketing, support calls, development all on his own (from a different time zone) and nearly everything falls through the cracks as a result of it.
