"Hockey Stick Learning Curve" Posted 2026-06-30
Pros: The start is nice and smooth and easy. In the beginning everything is nice, they motivate you to sign up and spend money, then nice and smooth and easy no more.
Cons: After you started and have a very nice experience you might buy the year or lifelong pro version.
Than the difficulty starts and becomes unsolvable. I have done CODEWARS and know what a decent increase in difficulty is from solving 1-6 kyu problems.Overall: DO GIVE THE GREEDY B**TARDS YOUR MONEY. They hook, let you pay and then give you problems only a computer expert with a SC degree can solve - to frustrate you to never bother their servers again, while you thing you are too stupid. They are not. Raising the difficulty level to impossible is cheating.

"Not Sure It's Worth It" Posted 2025-06-06
Pros: It breaks the language up into lots of easy to digest pieces which also allows for the feeling of accomplishment when having completed a task.
Cons: How they use energy is honestly ridiculous. When you choose how much you want to spend learning a day, were you to pick the one that is about 60 minutes or even 15 minutes a day, you cannot do without constantly leaving and coming back as you get to do 7 miniature tasks then need to wait 4 hours for more energy. You should lose energy after every wrong answer which allows you to get more from the experience.
Overall: Truthfully, I don't care for the app given the cons stated above and without wanting to, nor being able to afford to pay $7.49 a month or $299.99 just to have pro, it does not seem worth it.

"Decent platform, lacks customer service" Posted 2025-05-27
Pros: logical methodology for learning coding. Interface is clean a number of daily challenges is nice....
Cons: Customer service is slow to respond, and unhelpful when they do. Often the daily challenges do not align with the user's level, meaning the solution requires skills and knowledge that have not been covered in the course by that point in time.
Overall: Would recommend Coursera, bootcamps or college courses over this tool. This tool has promise, but the customer service, "500 errors" and lack of personalization is a turn off.

"Coddy is highly recommended" Edited 2025-02-25
Pros: It's a really smart concept, gamified and easy and fun to use. A painless learning curve, and it includes all of the most popular languages with a choice of projects for each. The free version is great and the pro version is even better, costing almost nothing.
Cons: There wasn't much to complain about. I got quick responses from staff when I had queries and from the AI. Really the only thing was that some of the courses were a bit unclear, but then again you get to choose which course, so...
Overall: It is a great choice for anyone learning to code. There's literally no cost and you get a great product. Highly recommended.
