OXT is a tool designed for exploratory blockchain analysis of the bitcoin ledger. OXT is the "Other eXploration Tool" and it should become the "Open eXploration Tool" in the future. How to measure adoption within a pseudonymous system? Can we really compare bitcoin with other payment systems by counting the number of transactions when a single bitcoin transaction can pay 1000 persons? OXT has no definitive answer to these questions but we expect it to be the first step on our way to a better understanding of bitcoin. OXT provides visual and interactive tools helping users to explore the bitcoin ledger and figure out the dynamics taking place on the blockchain. More than once, Bitcoin was described as a perfect tool for "shadowy" activities requiring anonymity. Truth is that public ledgers have created a set of new challenges for the financial privacy of their users. Therefore, OXT aims to define a set of metrics allowing a better evaluation of users privacy.

This is a self-hosted explorer for the Bitcoin blockchain, driven by RPC calls to your own Bitcoin node. It is easy to run and can be connected to other tools (like Electrum servers) to achieve a full-featured explorer. Whatever reasons you may have for running a full node (trustlessness, technical curiosity, supporting the network, etc) it's valuable to appreciate the fullness of your node. With this explorer, you can explore not just the blockchain database, but also explore all of the functional capabilities of your own node. View details of blocks, transactions, and addresses. Analysis tools for viewing stats on blocks, transactions, and miner activity. See raw JSON content from bitcoind used to generate most pages. Search by transaction ID, block hash/height, and address.
